Reza Ghadimi is a visionary, freelance writer and healthcare advocate for the rural and under-served areas of our country and the world. He is the author of: Practicing From the Heart in the age of technology. The foreword to this book is written by Dr. Humayun J. Chaudhry DO - Chairman and CEO of the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) and is endorsed by Dr. Paul Roth MD - longtime Dean of the UNM School of Medicine and Chancellor of UNM Health Sciences Center.
Ghadimi has practiced medicine in several countries on three continents. He is a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force.
He has served on the NM Medical Board and many other boards of local and national healthcare organizations. He’s been active in the International and Interstate Telehealth Organizations and was the Chairman of The International Committee of The American Telemedicine Association (ATA).
Ghadimi is the recipient of many awards, including the NM Academy's "2003 Lifetime Achievement Award."
He has practiced in rural, as well as urban, health centers. In family practice, emergency medicine and orthopaedics and was a Clinical Instructor at UNM School of Medicine. He is retired from practice and is writing full time on healthcare and health education issues.
Ghadimi is also a commercial pilot and flight instructor. He lives in the mountains of the American Southwest with his wife and their farm animals.
